Curious what folks are paying right now for dealer oil and filter change?

This topic is as old as automobiles, but here is one "expert'" opinion...

We won't know the correct answer until some Defenders have 100K + miles on them. The JLR recommended oil change interval on the LR4 was 15K miles. Many of the LR4 owners on the forum, including myself, changed it every 7500 miles. Then as LR4's approached 100K miles, many that followed the 15K oil change interval needed to replace their loud and worn timing chain guides. Those of us that changed the oil every 7500 had quiet timing chain guides. Mine were still quiet at 200K miles when I sold our LR4.

Based on this experience, I figure changing the Defender oil every 10K miles should work just fine long term.

I have the oil and filter changed every 10,000 miles at an independent dealer using Liqui Moli Special Tec LR 0W20. However, at 10,000 miles the oil is very clean and I tow and off-road monthly so I'm thinking the JLR recommended 21k may be just fine. Regardless, it's 10k for me.

I am going with 10k or 10,500 to split the recommended interval in half.

I have 10L of LiquiMoly 0W-20 Special Tec 6600 LR on hand.

Where do you go to change your oil? Or do you take the oil you bought to the dealer and give it to them to put in?

I'm approaching 30k on my 2021 110 S P300. I always change my oil every 5k miles. I did the same thing in my old D5 and LR4. 21k intervals are absurd.
