We've had my wife's 110 V8 for about 10 months and she loves it, though must admit we haven't taken it on a long trip yet. Just got an email to renew the subscription to Online Pack, and I must admit I have no idea what that is or what it does. Do we need that for apple car play, etc which we do use all the time.
Yeah, we are not too computer savy which I guess is obvious...
Online Pack is for things like weather, built-in Spotify app, Amazon Alexa etc. Has nothing to do with Apple CarPlay. I also just got a notification about mine and will renew it. It really should be bundled with the Connected Navigation Pro IMO.
Online pack has nothing to do with SiriusXM. SiriusXM will always work as long as you're subscribed to it.
There are SiriusXM “streaming channels” and Pandora stations that you can play that only work with mobile connectivity. I assume that is powered through the online data pack.

That's probably through the SiriusXM 360L service, which is only available in 2024MY+ JLR vehicles. I don't know if that's connected to the Online Data Pack, but I doubt it, as the car is always connected to the internet and 360L is included with your subscription as long as your vehicle supports it.
Here’s the dealio and see screenshot from my app, and what I have active...
Connected Navigation Pro: I have this active and re-subscribed to it (somewhat accidentally from a bar when I had been drinking) - it updates the maps in the car. Shows traffic. Not much else. Probably a waste of money but I did it anyway.
Online Pack w/ Data Plan: I have absolutely zero idea what this does other than the weather app which never worked well anyway (spinny ball anyone?) and some other apps which I never used to stream content. The “Suite of Applications” is not compelling to me at all. This is not what powers the wifi hotspot in the car, note.
Remote: This is what I think is very key. Remote start. Remote unlock. Renewing it annually is my plan.
Wi-Fi Enabled With Data Plan: I let it expire. Wifi in the car. Note there’s a hack / cheat here. I usually have the hotspot toggle off in the car now that it’s expired. But, I have found that if turn it the hotspot in the car briefly once a week or so - theLR service still apparently does flow a little bit of data to the car, enough to update the firmware and database on my radar detector and dashcam via wifi, which is all I cared about using it for anyway. Score one for me. I have tested: It also lets me surf the web from a computer in the car etc, but it’s super super super slow. So of no use. I use the hotspot on my phone instead. Anyway. Worth noting. If you do have devices that need firmware updates, this is a viable option.

That would be good if that’s the case
I'm not going to renew and then will report back what no longer works
Any updates on functionality without the Online Pack? Mine is due to expire.
I hate the car WiFi, too slow, don't care if I use it.
I use Apple Car Play in my car whenever I drive.
Can you still get Pivi updates without the Online Pack?
I let the Online Pack with Data Plan expire last month.
CarPlay is unaffected...works same as always.
Pivi updates still work the same...I just updated to 4.4.0 over the air yesterday...same as always.
