So my story is I had to wait for a long time with my order/build and hence cancelled my order within few weeks and took delivery of stock defender which didnt have some of the options I wanted but had others that I didnt want (like the 22s). Hence I got the off road pack etc activated after market. Hence I was curious to see if the screen can tell whether e-diff is available or not. Hope that helps!
The financial, work content and technical meat of going to the premium electronic torque vectoring rear eDiff involves changing out the less capable base differential to one with dual clutch packs and more thereby more capability. The computer logic involved must also be updated (which you seem to have already done).

It's a "big job" with a lot of nuances between years that don't line up. I've decided to do mine after the warranty runs out. Then a) I don't care and b) hopefully the aftermarket for used parts is a bit better. I've been stalking forums stocking up on the required parts and at my pace, things may just line up in 2024.
