Ordered a Defender 130
#31
As far as time between build and starting to be transported, I’m not sure. I’m sure it varies. But as you can see, my allocation was accepted 2 1/2 months from ordering at the dealer and being put in the holding pool and is estimated to be built 1 month after the last amendment possible date. From there another 1 1/2 months or so to receiving it at the dealer (in which that’s the time where it goes from being built to being transported).

The actual time it takes to assemble a Defender in the Nitra factory is 36 hours from laying down the first parts to rolling out the door. There was a tv programme on Channel4 here in the U.K. that followed a car all the way through the process. The link to it is included below but nor 100% sure it’s available outside of Britain:

First ‘23.5MY Defender 130’s are hitting lots now. They are the Launch Stock First Editions I mentioned a few months ago. All are identical I believe. Carpathian Grey with some options, about $90k. Each dealer should get 1. They are retail units, not ordered.
Yeah, they’re not my spec at all personally but like the interior choice, and Carpathian grey itself is nice, just doesn’t match well imo overall. Anyways, here’s one for example. Will probs be taken down once sold.

This thing is interesting but heinous. The new lines of L663 are too much at this scale. IMO.

If the 130 is a suburban then the 110 is an FJ cruiser and the 90 a toy truck. I like them all but I think the rims and mud flaps influence whether a Defender looks good, as simple and subjective as that may be. Black rims and classic mud flaps and they all look so much better. Only thing I don't like on a Defender is the 5 spoke silver rims, just something about it rubs me the wrong way. Don't hate it, just not me.
