Has anyone here had any experience with buying things from Vulkan and having them shipped to the U.S. in a safe and timely manner? I am thinking about getting the roof rack, ladder, and gear box from them
but want to see if anyone has had any experience with that in the U.S.

If you have ordered from them, how long did it take to get your order? I am in West Texas, so I am trying to figure that out as well.

Ordered the same items plus a few more 2 weeks ago.
was at my door within 5 days.
Im in Canada though, I’m sure USA would be same experience.

Been communicating with them as well and may go that route if I can get out of the factory order. Vulcan has given me shipping costs to the states but does anyone who has ordered from them, know what duty and other taxes look like? Seems like they have great pricing.

 

I will keep you posted on it. I have ordered a rack, ladder, trim piece, and carrier box shipped to the US. Tracking is estimating delivery in ~5 days total at the moment.

 

I'm going to assume the racks from Vulkan are not genuine LR, which is fine. The genuine LR ones I've seen are eye-watering at ~$2k.
Those are quite affordable TBH. Any issues, or are they pretty much identical?

 

I am going to go out on a limb and say they probably are t that different at all… JLR just over charges for everything that has their name on it - as most name brands do.

 

Well, I took a shot at this and ordered my roof rack (all black) , ladder, and gear box (gloss black for the ladder and box) last night. Let’s see how long it takes to get everything.

I am definitely excited about it though!! 👍👍

 

How was the shipping cost? When i priced up the side steps and expedition roof rack, shipping to the US east coast came out to £760 alone. Lucky8 has the side steps so may forgo Vulkan for that but their black roof rack does look good. I know these are heavier/bulkier items though.

 

Just received my ladder and gear carrier (lightning fast delivery via DHL - couple days to Ohio!). No issues at all with clearing customs.
I'm awaiting my Vulkan Expedition Roof Rack (separate order), but that is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

NOTE: if you order the gear carrier, your keys to open the box might be under some heavy tape inside the box, so be careful not to throw it away! I did receive a genuine LR badge inside the box too, and what appears to be all mounting hardware for both pieces too.
