Yes, this looks like a control scheme for the new RR's, Velar's and Epoque's which have gotten rid of most of the center console physical controls.
I hope they don't remove the physical buttons and ***** from the Defender. I like having the ability to hit a tactile button/turn a **** w/o having to look at it or take my eyes off the road to look at a screen.
Though it seems like this is the way alot of carmakers are going (saves quite a bit of money and wiring/parts not having physical controls apparently).
The Video is interesting. What I noticed right away is the extra button on the steering wheel. That physical button doesn't appear in my U.S. market , 2023, 110x (delivered Sep 2022). I'm wondering if the steering wheel button is (would be) on newer Model Years - or trim levels - or perhaps global market specific (unlikely).
Given the functions/features listed at the start of the video (at about 0:17), the iGuide lists the features and those already seem to exist on my 110x based on my casual recollection (I'd need to cross check).
Of course it seems possible the functions could be rolled into the Pivi control system as a software control should the steering wheel button not be physically available. The screen prompt at 0:31 "steering wheel control can be used to toggle modes" mildly implies it may be a hardware only button. However, a lot of the functions already appear to be there on my Pivi 4.1 software screen in various spots.
The U.I. in the video may be an improvement in some respects but I believe the small icons on the edges are unnecessary clutter and much prefer the physical controls already in the vehicle. That said - options for U.I. are subjective and some may well prefer software controls. I also wondered if this might be a European only implementation? However, that seems unlikely as the text at the bottom of the video screen at 1:05 ~ 1:10 seems to imply it would apply to the global market.
Here's the button I'm referring to on the steering wheel I noted earlier
I've noticed that button on the 2024 Defender models and was going to ask about it!

That button brings up the driver assistance selections on the information display. I have it on my '24 X-Dynamic (US spec)

Thanks for that clarification on model year. So it appears the physical button on newer model years is simply that - another UI option to get the Pivi screen to display the associated settings (given the options noted in the video appear in my Pivi screen w/out that physical steering wheel button).
Does the 2024 model Defender also display the additional small icons on the left and right of the main Pivi screen? My initial reaction is that's unlikely but I'm only running Pivi 4.1 and there may be an additional update enroute. Or perhaps there's some other internal software/hardware check that displays those small side icons based on model year? Akin to how some Pivi updates only apply to Defenders with specific features (PHEV for example) or to other Land Rover models other than Defender (I've seen those descriptions listed after Pivi updates)

Not with the smaller PIVI screen at least. Those would take up a lot of the limited area.
