Default P300 engine break-in protocol?

Has anyone come across this information?
I can not for the life of me find this in the manual or anywhere else.
Last I found was for a 2017 Discovery.
Also, is it different for the P400? V8?

Please advise. and always, thank you.

Have you tried the iGuide (which I think is just the e-version of the manual) and a quick search for "breaking in"?

TFL guys took delivery then immediately went rock-crawling and toasted it. I'm no car guru but I would not suggest that as a day one activity.

If an official protocol exists I'm not aware of it, I just basically kept my RPMs relatively low for the first few thousand miles in mixed driving conditions. Runs like a top. I took delivery in the summer, not sure if it would change anything in cold conditions like it is here right now.

US usually calls it "Break in". Apparently, JLR refers to it as "Running In".

TFL obviously went STRAIGHT to the last bullet.

TFL area bunch of yahoos, with Hollywood(ish) flair ... I stopped watching them after they bashed that D110 for "having issues" - compared with their beloved Bronco, and Wrangler. Flat tire - because they didn't know what they were doing?
There is nothing real technical those guys bring in, or explain - as comparison I am using PowerfulUK. TFL is more of a show than anything and some times probably a paid show.

I stopped watching after hearing them say "we're on our third defender!!" for the 856th time.

And this is why I am a fan of this forum.
Yes, I was deficient in my searching but "running-in" is a term I've never used for engine break-in.

Thank you Grousek9. Thank you to all who replied.

Very strange - the wording in my iGuide for the same graphic Grouse sent is titled "Breaking-in"... Makes me wonder if there is a geo-setting difference. If I start to search "running" all I get is an article for "running out of fuel" 😂.

The iGUIDE definitely has regional differences. In the example above, "RUNNING-IN" in the UK vs. "BREAKING-IN" in the US. Also the spelling changes: "labouring" vs. "laboring", for example.

I read this with some interest. I had asked my sales rep if there was an electronic version of the owner's manual I could download. Unfortunately what he sent me to was actually a PDF of the brochure. I kind of wanted to glance through it before I picked up the truck and drove it the 150 miles home looking like a complete fool with the emergency lights flashing or some other indications of idiocy. The iGuide has been quoted here and it was with delight that I went over to the app store to get it. Well I get a message, "App not available in your region." That was disappointing. There are difference in spelling and actual words between UK and US english, so much so that my original Series IIa had a glossary of terms supplement. So am I missing something in looking for this app, perhaps if I used the Welsh spelling?
