Default P300 Orders not allowed??

Sorry if this is asked elsewhere, but does anyone have a clue on when the 4 cylinders models will be order-able again?

The P300 still look to be buildable on Land Rover's builder site.

Sure, I've built dozens. But as we know the dealer has more information on what is order-able. Like certain options that are restricted any given month due to shortages.

Each time I try to put an order in I am told LR is not accepting P300's at this time. Hence my question.

This happened to me when I was ordering mine last February. At that time only P400 orders were being accepted. I was then notified when LR was building P300's and had the order placed then. I was told it was a supply chain / parts issue

Thanks for that. Was it your dealer that notified you?

I have heard that since the Evoque and some Jags use the same engine and only that engine? Also that they are allocating the 4 cylinder to those... just curious if/when the openings for the P300 this might happen...
Been wanting to place an order since last fall... though I know its not a ton of time.

Yes my dealer knew when the P300 allocations would open up. I'm assuming you've placed your order and are waiting?

Well the orders bank? is open but they are not able to include it since LR is not accepting that kind of order. Dealer has deposit and build though...

They did this last year, just put your request at your dealer or dealers to be put on the waitlist w/deposit, and then hopefully when an allocation opens up, you can get one. Might be a few months for them to take those sold orders though, but don't be surprised if they discontinue the 4 cylinder P300 for the '24MY Defender to be replaced the 6 cylinder variant already on the 130 like I mentioned back in July. They 'might' do that.

When I was looking at ordering a defender recently my Salesrep said “we’re not ordering p300, if you want the 11.4 screen you must order an X, and there are no allocations for V8 models”. If there are parts and other supply chain issues, why is it that JLR keeps coming out with all these different models? It makes no sense except the fact that they want to build models that make them a lot of money like the 130.

Yeah that was covered last year, the '23.5MY has been out since about May and reflects those. Hopefully '24MY fixes those problems, I agree it's dumb.
