Can't find any information on P300 tuning. Does anyone have experience with ECU or Piggybacks?

it's already running pretty hot, too much strain with tuning.

 

Transmission tuning for the 8hp makes a very big difference in performance. We offer transmission tuning at our shop.

 

If you have the 130, the P300 is an I6 MHEV and the CCF for the PCM can be adjusted to P400 spec using Pathfinder. If it is the 90 or 110, it is an I4. Since the P300 is the maximum amount of power on this engine from the factory, you'd have to go with an aftermarket tune.

 

Can you expand on this if you have the time? Can't wrap my mind around a 2.9% increase in hp making a big difference, but i'm curious!

 

Keep in mind that any aftermarket tuning while your vehicle is under warranty, will more than likely void it. I have seen OEM's deny warranty claim for owners who have modified their vehicles.

Magnuson Moss and that is why I am curious if anyone has used a piggyback. There is no way for the stealership to know if a piggyback tune has been used. You can easily unplug and remove the evidence.

ZF 8HP is the internal name for the transmission. All ZF gearboxes have an HP designation after the number of gears. 8HP is the 8 speed, 9HP is the 9 speed that is used in the Evoque and Discovery Sport and 6HP is an old 6 speed that was used in many BMW, JLR and VAG products.
