confirmed, changing the brake pads doesn’t move the caliper so no need for spacers unless for looks.

Appreciate it, was debating to post in this thread or not, as I didn't see any interest and the thread just disappeared in the forum.

What IS the best USB wire to use? lol - I love the wheels, would prefer not to have their name on them - a long time ago my Uncle when seeing my raised white letter tires on my '70 GTO, asked "why would you pay to advertise someone else's product?" Of course now you pay more to have some product names

Love the photos! Are they all in "normal" mode? Any in Access or Extended? Those are great rims (and yeah, hard to find).

This thread needs to be stickied and renamed.

"The Famous 18" Wheels on P400 with Caliper Trim Thread."

Really top tier documentation and detail. I owe you a beer/coffee

I definitely have to take my hat off to you. Not sure I have the grit (no pun intended) to take an angle grinder to the breaks on my brand new, expensive vehicle. Its very cool its worked out so well though!

Have you noticed any issues or otherwise. When you where grinding the calipers is there any cavities around the area with brake fluid. I actually have the L8 calipers but have a X so the calipers on the car are painted. Was thinking of trying the grind method this weekend, if I break it I have the L8 calipers to out on anyway. Grinding the existing calipers just leaves the ends without the orange/red paint that you won't be able to see

@aao4473 - Did you ever add spacers? If so, why? Just for looks or to match offsets? If you did what size? Thanks for the intel.

@aao4473 - Did you need to get an extender for your spare? I'm about to mount mine this weekend and figured I better check first. Or at least get a jump on the order. I went with Nitto's rather than KO2's, but I'm still wondering if the 285's will need something like the Lucky8 spare extender.
