Anyone successfully achieved a paddle shifter retrofit on a P400?

the engine has a lot of power, but you need to be in the 3500+ Rpm range to really go for it. The manual mode with the gearshift is no fun given the inconvenient mounting position…

 

Haven't tried it but when I briefly looked into it I was told that you would have to replace the steering wheel also to a V8 one, the standard wheel doesn't have the recesses for the paddles to fit.

 

SummerAuto has the parts for this. It works

Assuming he's talking about Summer Auto Parts out of China. They've been around a while.

Did intensive reseach, Summer isn't offering this untill now.
So maybe some problems to make this work on our New Defenders.

Anyone with more info, please share.

 

If it can be done powerfuluk would have done it already.
