Default Park Heating on p400/p400e only works under 1°C

Fascinating and frustrating situation:

My 2021 Defender (p400e) was delivered a month ago. The most important extra for me here in cold Munich is the park heating functionality (which cost > €2.000 an an extra).

Switching it on in the morning, it turned itself off within a minute. So I brought the car back to my local Land Rover dealer.

The first feedback from the dealer today was as follows: The park heating functionality will only work, when the eBattery (i.e. the p400e high-voltage battery) is not empty. This information turned out to be rubbish, as that would mean that all non Plug-in Defenders would have the park heating system connected to the normal battery, with only the p400e park heating connected to the high-voltage eBattery.

So, half an hour later my Land Rover Dealer came with completely new information: 2022 Defenders park heating only will switch on at under 1°C (for Diesels under 7°C). This was the official feedback they got from Land Rover central.

Can anyone confirm this? It would be an absolutely ridiculous feature/fact/bug if true and seriously p*** me off.

For the US it seems the configuration might be different.

No idea on the p400e but the p400 the climate can be set to a temperature and remote started through the inControl app to whatever the desired temp is. I've used it just to see it do its thing. I'll likely never use it again.

Perhaps this is very different to what you are asking about. Apologies if I'm way off track. It was about 12+ C when I tried it.
