PCV Recall
#13
I can not make this stuff up. Well as I said, had the recall done a week or so back (they just did it as part of a bigger service) and subsequently had the idle issues with the check engine light coming on a few days later. Scheduled the truck for service for today but yesterday afternoon the check engine light went off and truck is running great now. Still no check engine light.
Now what should I do. From past experience I can almost guarantee that if I take it in the diagnosis will be "No Fault Found"

Between this thread and the other Recall related thread, I’ve seen multiple posters who have related getting their Defender back after the recall action, replacing the PCV valve, only to find the vehicle running worse than before they brought it in. I’m getting very wary of handing my Defender over to the dealer. Something isn’t right when the ‘fix’ creates a problem. I’m monitoring this issue carefully before I move forward. Anyone with similar issues, please keep our Defender community informed.

@NoGaBiker - 1) Check engine light comes on. It only gets turned off if you go to the Dealer. That in my book is the inspiration to avoid it. 2) The engine revs high at idle. With gas prices today, I'd like to avoid that one too!
