It has a hard bottom and extends beyond the depth of the seat. Works quite well. But our dog is a 20lb labradoodle, relatively small.
There are many similar ones on Amazon. Here is a link to one of them:
I haul around a Golden Retriever and a Newfoundland almost all the time. I just traded and got my second Defender. The dogs were really hard on my first one so I immediately bought the below cargo liner for the new truck. The XXL is really big. Thats better than being small though. I have only had them in it one time so far but really like it. It covers all the way to the back of the front seats which is great since my second row is always folded down. Now i just need to protect the window edge and top part of the doors.
I also have this for my load space, but in XL. I don't necessarily use it for the pups, as I have a specific backseat cover but like it so far for protecting the area.
I don’t have a seat cover but I do have a set up for my dogs. They go to work with me everyday so they need something. The beds don’t match the Vintage Tan perfectly, but it’s close enough.
Question for folks. Our dogs ride in the back seat. We have fillers for the foot well, a flatish board for extending the platform to the full width. However I've had to cut some foam to shove down the side of the seat between the seat and door, to stop them falling and wedging themselves between the seat bottom and door. In our Volvo the seat goes to the door. The Defender has kind of a step to get to the roof rack back there. Anybody else have an issue and solution? Thanks.
