Default Pivi Navigation Pin Drop

heading out to a buddies remote cabin. No actual address and up in the sticks. I have the google maps coordinates but i won’t have any cell reception when i get within 20 miles of the location.

is there anyway i can send the coordinates to pivi navigstion and relay on the cars gps or any method of getting the coordinates into the car without relying on my cell reception

Pivi nav has What3words integration

very cool system. what3words is a really quick and simple way to find, share and save exact locations. The system converts GPS coordinates into 3 word addresses.

according to this article it works offline too. I think this will do what you need it to. Look up the w3w in advance, then just type it into pivi. No way to send it from a cellphone that I know of though.

really appreciate this. just tired it it out and works perfectly. for very remote areas you need to plan ahead and search the maps on the website and generate the 3 words and Pivi will pull up the exact coordinates

You can also download the maps if you are on you phone and have wifi, before you go. Maybe as a backup option...

That’s good info too. Land Rover did a great job with Pivi Maps in my opinion, especially if you will use the truck to explore remote areas!
