Short of one of us noticing a new version, do we have a way of knowing which versions are out there?

if i understand the question correctly, touch the settings icon on the bottom right, then select "all" and scroll down to the bottom and you should see a software/update option. click on it and it will tell you which version you are running and if an update is available (if one is, you should notice a little "1" icon on top of your profile name as well)

Estimated installation time: 0 h 45 m

Included in this release are performance enhancements to the

Pivi infotainment system along with stability improvements to Amazon AlexaTM, Apple CarPlayTM, Android AutoTM and connectivity improvements.

This release also includes a number of new and improved features.

What's new:

- Additional options for assigning to the steering wheel favourite button (diamond icon) Available options vary by vehicle specification and model year.

- New control added to the navigation home tile to allow easier back and forth switching between Pivi Pro navigation and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto navigation apps.

- Revised start-up/shut-down experience: Welcome screen shown earlier and touchscreen remains on for longer after vehicle shutdown to allow settings to be changed at end of journey.

Additional controls available via the Pivi speech recognition system:

- Heated and cooled seat control e.g. "Hey <wake word> set passenger seat heating to 2'

- Place of interest support improvements e.g. "Hey <wake-up word> I'm hungry" or "Hey <wake-up word> find a coffee shop near me"

- Turn navigation voice guidance on/ off e.g. "Hey <wake-up word> voice guidance on/off"

Navigation improvements:

- Improved Pivi Pro navigation experience for commutes.

- View traffic on your commute in the homescreen navigation panel.

- ETA (estimated time of arrival) information added to the homescreen and Interactive Driver Display when in a commute.

- General commutes performance improvement including 'auto start commutes'

- Personalised Routes - With the system having learnt your regular routes (Learn My Routes enabled in navigation settings), Personalised Routes (enabled in navigation settings) will aim to incorporate the roads you know best into your journeys towards regular destinations.

- Enhanced Smart Voice Guidance experience (enabled in navigation settings along with Personalised Routes): Provides voice guidance only on the sections of your route you are less familiar with e.g when traveling towards home on roads you're familiar with voice guidance will automatically mute. If diverted on to unfamiliar roads, voice guidance automatically unmutes.

- Waypoint information is now also shown in the home tile.

- 11.4 and 13.1" screens only: More effective use of the available screen area used by the navigation support panels.

General Improvements:

- Improved calibration for wireless charging when used with Apple MagSafe devices.

- Multiple UI/UX improvements.

- Multiple usability enhancements to the USB media interface.

EV vehicle only improvements:

- Select the preferred minimum charge level (charge comfort level) the navigation system uses in planning charging stops.

- Improvement to the accuracy of the predicted range when a destination is set.

- The recommended charge level when arriving at a charge stop is shown for longer.

- Significant performance improvement to the range map (shown only when no destination is set).

- Charge Station Brand Filters. From saved destinations, you can now access the list of 'Providers Preferences' and select your preference for each brand from preferred to avoid. Searches for charge stations will then be ordered accordingly.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- Live Apps such as Weather & Parking (where available) will be deleted as part of the update. These are typically automatically downloaded and updated on the next available journey (subject to connectivity).

- PHEV / BEV vehicles only: Please disconnect the vehicle charger and ensure the vehicle battery has a minimum charge level of 25% before starting the update.
Ironic - stability and connectivity improvements and now my iPhone will not connect for CarPlay.... This happened one other time that there was an iOS update. I've deleted and reconnected via bluetooth.

BTW, does anyone know how to NOT have iPhone Map app (google maps for me) be the default when CarPlay is connected? I like the Pivi Pro navigation so have placed a shortcut on left side of screen for quick access.

Apologies. I was actually asking if there is a way to know if a new update has been pushed to anyone at all. That is, what is the very latest out there? Seems like it would be a good sticky thread…Pivi Pro Releases.

What is this Christmas or something? I can switch between Apple Maps and PiviPro nav AND map my heated/cooled seat to the button on the steering wheel?? Big fan of this update.

Seems like a good update, a couple notes:

- I was browsing through the settings and noticed that one of the diamond softkeys available settings is now eco start/stop on/off – ha ha ha ! But there are a # of new cool things you can assign to the diamond button on the steering wheel.

- The center Pivi screen does come on more quickly, and stays on longer… and when you turn off ignition, the LR logo appears with a power button under it for awhile. That seems cool. I guess the power button could prove handy if you were “necking” (my dad’s word!) to turn the screen illumination off lol.

- I noticed in the driver assistance settings that they added some icons and additional explanatory comments about what the settings actually do, which would be helpful for new users. Like when I first got my 110, was at the car wash and couldn’t figure out what to turn on and off. (side note still no “car wash mode”)

- I did not have to re-pair my iPhone… CarPlay and everything works fine. I seem to think in the last major update I did have to re-pair my phone.

- Updating apparently signed my profile out of the Land Rover InControl account, so I just signed right back in. No issues there.

I’m not showing this as available to me yet. Does JLR not roll these out to all at the same time?

I don't have it either - still shewing 3.2.1 as the latest on my 2020 Defender. They do roll these out in piece meal - so sometimes takes a month to get.

I got it here in ATL yesterday (Sat Augh 20). Some oddness with installation tho, likely from OTA interruption. Said 3.3 was available, arrived at the gym, I said "Install Now"- locked car/alarmed and was in gym for 2 hrs (outside parking). Returned to car, got "90% downloaded" message - thought 2 hrs is plenty of time, no?.... Left in garage overnight, it eventually installed per rechecking this AM.

Note: On Fri Aug 19, day prior to 3.3 coming down, I installed Apple iOS update 15.6.1 on my phone (the new security-warning related update), and THAT broke Apple CarPlay for me. The phone was still Bluetoothed OK, but no CarPlay would auto start. Going into the menu in Pivi showed the usual APPLE CARPLAY app icon in All Apps view-- and now it is still there, but greyed out, pressing does nothing. Going into "Connectivity" shows it is turned On, but the "Start Apple CarPlay Now" button at top, does nothing.

I hope the combo of the 2 didn't permanently hose CarPlay. Will have to report back once I go into car today and remove everything and set it up net-new again.

Also in this update is curious thing about "better calibration" for wireless charging pad when a MagSafe device is put on it....that would be me too, mine never charged. Will have to test. (It affected 12's and 13's)
