I'm now on 4.3.0. I just spent a few minutes to see what's new and I haven't seen any noticeable changes. Camera looks mostly the same, maybe a bit more greyscale than before, but I'll see how much of an improvement (if any) later tonight...
Yeah the changes were only to improve nighttime visibility.
My update installed this morning but I still went to the dealership to get the battery inspected and turns out it needs replacement. Still under warranty so I’m happy to let them do it.
Well I will say the camera at night is marginally better. Not huge improvement, but a noticeable improvement nonetheless. It’s clearly more grayscale at night than it used to be, hence why I thought it looked a bit different even in the daylight.
Also noticed a new feature - when you’re low on fuel, it now tells you the distance to the closest gas station, which is neat!
I'm still on 4.1.5. Does anyone have a solution for not receiving updates, or do I need to visit the dealer?
You should be on a much newer version, as 4.1.5 is from nearly two years ago. Odd that you wouldn't have received an update notification. At this point, I'd take it to the dealer and have them force a software update.
I am in Chicagoland and I got my update last night. It went through w/o issues. I have been planning to update my back-up lights so I'll be interested if the camera improvements make this less necessary. I also was contacted by the dealer yesterday that there was a recall on my vehicle due to display occasionally not powering up, but that hasn't happened to me in months since I got the 4.2 update. Not sure if I want to waste the time getting work like this done on my ride.
