Potential Stall issues (?)
Does the battery need to charge up? I had it happen in the very beginning and since the we have gone on many longer trips and it has not happened since. I thought it had to do with the new battery… I have no clue though, I am just speculating.

A data point - I had my defender shut down in city traffic immediately after driving 3hrs on the highway. It's possible there's a faulty battery or a part of the battery system that isn't charging, and when the auto stop engages, there's not enough energy to restart it.
I have also had this stall at a red light happen two times in the past week. This is a 2021 P400 with auto start/stop. When the vehicle stops, it sometimes decides to completely turn itself off without warning. Perhaps related, when I put it in park and it auto shuts off, the vehicle also completely turns itself off. Bringing it into the dealer to check on it soon.
I know its annoying, but it might be worth bringing the vehicle in to the dealer. My dealer "couldn't find anything wrong" but that doesn't mean another dealer wouldn't' get to the bottom of it. Seems like that's going to be the only way we get this solved, or raise enough attention that JLR engineers step in. For what it's worth, I haven't had this issue happen after I started manually turning off the auto stop/start each drive.
Following this one. I have had happen 3 times in 7000 miles. Just took in last week and they could find no codes or history of what happened. I think the pattern is that it only happens after a longer extended drive and then at stop light. I am waiting for the next time it happens and will go back to the dealer then.

If so, it makes sense that it's after driving for a bit.
