I have a base Defender arriving in October with steelies. My car is white with the white wheels and I was thinking about powder coating them black/grey. I got the black badge/trip pack and think that would look pretty sweet. Wondering if anyone has done so and if they have any pictures/advice with what to go for.
Almost 15 years ago, I had Aus-Tex Sandblasting and Coating in Austin redo the wheels on my 1980 230G G-Wagon. I can't remember how much it cost at the time, but they did a great job. Two fun facts about that experience:
Aus-Tex was contracted to powder coat the city's famed Moonlight Towers during a restoration in the mid 90's. I figured if they were good enough for the towers, they were good enough for my wheels.
