Default Power running boards for 110

Wife is short and I was looking to add power running boards to her new defender 110, it's going to be a mall crawler and I take my raptor for off road stuff. So I would rather add power for the clean look vs the more beefy ones. Thanks

I can’t help on powered running boards but I thought I would give my possibly unwelcomed .02. My wife is 5’2” and after I added fixed running boards to her D90 with coils she was fine. Her next will have air as she has no issue when my V8 is in access height.

We have the factory deployable steps. They were pricey when we first bought them but they’re very nice and held up well for almost 3 years now.

Found this thread looking for deployable side steps/power running boards. I've had them on a few vehicles now and really love them. Wife is short (I'm not exactly mr. tall myself) and I've got two small kids so we'll use em'.

I'm not seeing AMP Research with an option (typically the go to for aftermarket power side steps). But your comment here seems to indicate that LR has em' optional from the factory. I'm not seeing it though anywhere on the online configurator. Is it a dealer installed option/accessory?

Google isn't helping on this one. Much appreciated for any insight!

LR has factory deployable side steps that integrate with the Privi Pro menu. When programmed on they have their own icon on the screen.

the side steps also say Defender on the step so that fun.

They’ve been very sturdy and have held up well. No issues for 3 years now. I can look up part numbers if you’d like but I gotta go find my old ticket.

After confirming LR has em', I found this video demonstrating them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_tVK8Dlzto

It also shows price. $3500. Holy hell. LoL My last two vehicles had them as standard, and the last time I looked into an AMP Research aftermarket one the cost was around $1200...

At $3500, its too rich for my blood. Going to have to go with non power tubular style. Unless anyone knows of an aftermarket alternative for ~$1500ish.

Thanks @NativeTexan anyway!

Does the top surface scuff easily?

I would highly recommend getting them at ordering...my adding after the car had 5k on it created additional cost of labor that I had to stomach.

I think the steps are great and I love them.

The top surface hasn't scuffed easily and seems very sturdy now after 2.5 years of use.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m going to add them to the build.
