I have a 2021 Defender with the factory PPF wrap and it also has the factory black appearance package where the grille is black, it is black PPF over the factory green color. I had a rock hit the grille and caused the PPF to fail. What is the best way to have this fixed?
You should take it to a shop that specializes in PPF and vinyl wraps. Those panels do not come wrapped from the factory. The wrap is port-installed when ordered from the factory.
The grilles and other black-ed out components (front bumper, rear bumper, side squares, A-pillars) are all gloss black painted - not black wrapped - when you get the black appearance pack.
So, on your car, if we're talking factory appearance, the grille here would be body color -- since you have a body color hood.... Are you the original owner? Guessing someone wrapped it prior to your ownership, or perhaps the selling dealer.
The black pack doesn't include the grille (unless it's an X or one of the V8's that has the black hood already).... but, anyway, the ones with black grilles are black painted from LR, not wrapped.
