Default Price discrepancy between X and X-Dynamic??

Can anyone make sense of this? I've built two options: an X which comes out to $100k, and then an X-Dynamic that's essentially loaded up with everything you get in the X for $88k... I know of a few minor differences, but what's the $12k discrepancy? I've already put in my order for the X-Dynamic but I'd consider upgrading that to the X if there's any sensical explanation! Or are people just paying for the badge and the gloss black hood?

It has more features that are standard like extended leather, etc. the x dynamic is actually cheaper but was able to reach $87k by adding all packages. The x is expensive in itself as all of these are standard features. I would go with the X if cost is not a factor.

I was going to order the X but ended-up ordering a loaded X-Dynamic instead. The shiny "diamond tuned" wheels and two-tone X interior just weren't for me. My X-Dynamic build was about $10K less than the X and I couldn't really find anything I was missing.

I feel the same way… my preference is the khaki interior and 19” wheels. The only thing I can really see that’s different between my loaded up dynamic is heated back seats which is a $500 option. Hard to understand how the difference is over $10k but I guess you can’t reason the unreasonable.

It has cooled second row seats and climate controls on the 3rd row if you hit that option. It just checked all the boxes. I'm not sure what other details in it though.

I’m not interested in 3rd row. Uncheck.

Same here. I went with the fully loaded X-Dynamic HSE over the X. I think I saved a bit of dough going that route. Color scheme is different, though.

If you're spending $100k on an X, why not a V8? Color choices?

Interesting exercise. I just went thru the build comparison too and think the differences are:
- gloss trim hood and lower panels
-satin front bumper fill in and rear bumper
- used to be HUD (but I think that’s off the table now)
- instrument cluster analogue gauges with smaller tft screen vs full digital instrument cluster
- others (?)
