Contacted customer support with no resolution. They did confirm that the driver profiles should allow the vehicle to remember various settings unique to each driver. They couldn’t specify what settings, but did say radio favorites.
Does anyone know the specifics and if it works?
I can setup my profile and login into my incontrol account from the defender. They only allow one incontrol acct per vehicle, so how do I set up an account for my wife? Or do I just use my account for her also?
after adding another driver profile for my wife, the defender does not remember separate favorite stations between us so I am wondering if this works at all or how to set it up properly.
I was able to create a secondary login from my InControl account, so it’s just another login for another driver.
I’ve not noticed any real purpose of the profile. It doesn’t appear to be able to be attached to a particular key so it recognizes which profile to use based upon presence of a particular key and I’ve. It noticed any settings of any type that remain unique to the profile.
Over all, the feature seems worthless.
Again, Land Rover corporate and my dealer were worthless on this topic and the owner’s manual barely addresses the subject at all.
The only difference I've found is the greeting when I start the vehicle. My wife likes it greeting her by name, but I've found no differences between which profile is used other than that.
Is there an update, or will there be an update on this? This seems a bit silly to be that a vehicle like this cannot have different settings per key or profile. We have two profiles, but no setting change. We each have different radio favs, map views, and left/right dash favs. Yet the profiles do not reflect this?! If I change all these things in my profile, it reflects on hers. Same vice versa.
It also does not change the seat configuration when using different key fobs? Car we traded in, BMW X6M did all of this. Hit unlock or the handle of vehicle, seat changed to whoevers key fob was in hand, radio favs changed, light settings changed, literally everything. The Defender (and assuming all over Rovers) do not have this very simple feature?
I suppose I shouldnt have assumed it would do this, just seems pretty standard. Especially for luxury vehicles, and one at this price point.
In an effort to not post a new thread on this I am responding to this one. Trying to figure out some weird behavior on the multiple profile front. We have a 2021 Defender X SE with what I assume is the latest update of software as there are no updates showing available. I should have documented the versions though for reference. I was able to setup 2 InControl accounts one for my wife and one for me, although she can unlock the car remotely and I cannot but when I check website the Defender shows up on both. I only mention that as I read someone say that they had to use the app on phone with same account. The strangeness I have is after creating 2 profiles on the pivi pro and associating separate key fobs to each profile and logging into separate InControl on each it seemed not to recognize the difference of me or my wife. After some observations I realized that if my wife used the car last and I got in with my key fob and started it showed her preferences but when I went somewhere and stopped the car, upon getting back in it recognized me. When it recognized me it adjusted the seat but not to the way I would sit but to her settings it seems. Maybe she getting set to me adjusting seat and its saving then I get in and its still on her profile then I adjust seat and when I stop and start back it switches to my profile and readjusts the seat or maybe its just one seat memory.
What was more of the issue and more obvious is that she was able to install Spotify as an app so when I select input on Media Spotify is in the selection however when the Defender recognizes me and my profile Spotify is not an input selection. I've tried figuring out how to add it on my profile but with no success. Have others experienced this behavior? It would actually be nice to have his and her Spotify so our playlists can be separate. Anyone else experiment with this? I'll update experience if I figure anything out.
I was able to get two separate Spotify accounts to work under two different Profiles. The trick was finding the spot on InControl for connected accounts to be able link Spotify on my profile (see below) I also called Land Rover support and they confirmed that it's one remote app user for the car so I have to use my wife's login on phone for unlock, etc. Seems a bit odd to me.
So I was able to get two separate Spotify accounts to work under each of the two Profiles. The trick was finding the Connect Apps section under My Account. Hopefully this helps someone else. Called Land Rover and they confirmed only one Remote Account per car. Seems a bit limiting to me but I guess we each just have to login to same account from our phones.

Any updates here? Having the same issue/question with my 23 Defender (just picked it up).
