My 2020 HSE has them, and they're really, really nice. An unexpected touch.

I have base P300, not even S version and it has it. My only option were bothe offroad packs, locking rear diff, tow package and heated front seats. Everything i want and nothing I dont need. Less than 56k. Now, I will be adding many thousands in accessories, winch, etc... but mine is for offroading

Default Puddle lights defender 110 2021

I am wanting to install some custom puddle lights with the company logo in the projector. My defender already has puddle lights installed. does anyone know where do a custom puddle light?

Thanks Steve

PowerfulUK had done a video where they asked the same question. What is inside the light that projects the Land Rover chosen display and could it be changed to project a different pattern/logo. He dissected one and found the tiny lens that receives the light source from the rear, and beams it onto the ground. Unless he has gone further in his quest, that is where I recall the video summarizing his project. Not sure if he, or any other company has found a way to come up with a replacement lens, or bezel that could be customized to one’s personal choice.

lol. I searched so hard for a way to turn mine off. I feel like it is a little too much …..”Defender”, now I just live with it. I like the light, but not crazy about the logo being projected every time I open the door at night. To me it almost feels a little cheesy, but I suppose it has admittedly grown on me a bit.

If you aren’t fond of the puddle light, I guess you could put a piece of black tape over the aperture, or if you want something more permanent then you could just use a dab of black paint or similar to block the light source. Actually, mine has drawn many comments when first seen, even in parking lots when the door is opened near a bystander. People are surprised and amused and usually love the feature. But to each his own. If you don’t like it, block it out.

I thought about the tape or paint, but do like having the light. If it bugs me too much I may try to take the lens out. Not a huge issue for me, it is a cool little feature, but just not my favorite one. To each their own for sure!
