I thought I'd share some pics of the tips I installed. Picked them up from Amazon. Carbon fiber, angled offset tips. I think they add to the visual, blend in nicely with the black package. I've painted my exhausts black in the past but I think I'll leave this one alone...maybe.

They do look good! Maybe it's just me though, but it looks like you have the tips mounted on the wrong sides. The shorter tip side on each tip should be mounted so it's on the outer side of the vehicle. That way, it better follows the contour of the rear bumper cover.

I agree with you. They are not mounted properly as you mentioned. They are great looking tips though.
