When driving in the urban areas I infrequently see a symbol on the dash display. It is green and looks like a foot pressing a brake pedal. I don't have hill descent or cruise activated and there is no reference to this symbol in the manual. I presume it somehow might mean to slow down based on perhaps the speed sign recognition? Thanks for any insight!

 

Are you driving in ECO mode when that symbol pops up? I seem to recall it's some sort of Driver Assistance / coaching program that suggests when you should coast or accelerate lightly (probably to maximize the 48V mild hybrid system charging and/or fuel economy), and it disappears if you accelerate hard or brake. I don't believe it's related to your speed, it's some sort of ECO program-related icon. If you don't drive in ECO mode, I don't think that symbol pops up. Not explained at all in the manual, probably of very limited use.

 

No, it's always in comfort mode and it is so infrequent I can't even get a snap of it. I disabled that ECO coaching system in the menu and it still pops up. It would be nice if the manuals covered these oddities so it would be easy to figure out. Nice to see you here; remember you there long ago on the LR4 sites. You have always been a great help!
