Default Quick Q, 285/45/22 tires on a 110 V8 defender...

Hi,

Just picked up a defender 110 with the V8. I'm like to switch out the 275 stock tires for 285/45/22 tires. Any issues running this size tire with the stock set up? I'm hoping to avoid any rubbing and/or cutting.

I may purchase the Johnson rods but curious if there would be issues with the stock suspension.

Thanks

285/45R22 114H XL - Nitto Recon Grapplers - fit with 0 rub in the lowest setting - no lift required. Recently installed on MY 2023.5 110 V8 Defender. Highly recommended - ride is great with almost 0 road noise. https://www.nittotire.com/light-truc...ht-truck-tire/

Only problem is that I will never go back to the stock Conti's. I have 5 of them; 4 with 300 miles + unused spare sitting in my garage collecting dust.

Hey there, I'm considering installing the 285/45/22 Nitto Recon Grapplers tomorrow on my stock 275/45/22s. Have they continued to run smoothly since you installed yours? No need for spacers or anything to install properly?

I’m running 285/45/22 on 22 vossens. No issues with mine having run it for over 750 miles. No spacers, and no rubbing.

The Nitto tires have been perfect. Just did a 20 hour roundtrip drive for Thanksgiving, all highway, and performed great. No rubbing. Not any noticeable noise. No need for spacers. I gave away my conti's and never looked back.

I have probably put over 8,000 miles on them. Also just had a full service and no issues were flagged. Hopefully everyone has a similar experience.

Default 285/45/r22

Hi. Noob to the forum but it has been extremely helpful as I've done some research on my new 2024 Land Rover Defender 130. In case anyone is interested, I just replaced the stock Continental Tires which are 275/45/r22 with Mickey Thompson Baja boss A/T tires 285/45/r22. These were installed without any lift or spacers and they seem to be entirely fine with no rubbing. In fact there seems to be plenty of clearance room. Ordered them and had them installed through Discount Tire.

don't know if this will help anyone else but as I was researching other tires the user feedback on the 285s with the 22-in rims was helpful to me.
