Otherwise, I agree they are decoration.

You will see elsewhere on the forum that the mounting has been problematic and sometimes noisy.
the air box filter is in front and the raised air intake is in the rear. I didn't see any pipes or connection to the airbox filter.

So you're saying mountains don't actually look like that?

On my 2020 P300 D110 S, the inlet air is drawn from the LH fender inlet and fed forward to the air box (within the fender)

I suppose it is similar for the P400 version?

Enjoy!

That comment about upgrades made me laugh. The only upgrade I added was to do a "stock" upgrade 25 years after manufacture. I added the auxiliary fuel switch beneath the middle "seat" and put the auxiliary tank right under the passenger seat (per design). I always felt a bit at risk driving around in a 30 year old Land Rover essentially sitting on two jerry cans of fuel! A side impact on either side and POOF!

That raised intake sure is sucking in air in this vid.

It's functional

Not an option on the V8 as the air intake comes from both right and left sides.

I'd like to politely mention that this is a non-smoking vehicle.
