I finally got sick of the cheap plastic checker bonnet plates and replaced with real alloy checker bonnet plates from New Defender Mods. Much nicer and easy to install with a manual rivnut tool.
I'm a bigger guy (6 ft, 240 lbs) so I was a little concerned about standing on it. I did have my 16 year old son who is much lighter at 150 lbs stand on it and it held fine. I was more concerned about the bonnet not the plate. The plate itself would hold me with no problems.
I'm even bigger, so I'll definitely be needing a new bonnet as well then, lol They do look very cool tho, and useful if you wanted to mount something there.
The great thing is that it took about 15 minutes a side to install. Also, these can be used to mount lights, external antenna, etc.. Now all I need is the extended gas tank they offer that holds 48 gallons of gas.
@blancaster - We need to find someone who will ship a container of them to the US. I've been drooling over them for years but can't swing the steep shipping the heavy beasts cost to send over.

They have a few of the fuel tanks in stock. When I called they had reasonable shipping costs to the US..
