I'm deciding between the Travall UK drawer system and the drawer kit by Frontrunner.

Does anyone on the forum have the Frontrunner drawer kit? I prefer the Travall design, aesthetic, and locking mechanism... however the cost to ship to the USA is quite expensive.

The Frontrunner kit has greater storage volume and twice the drawer load capacity (250lbs vs around 110lbs). But it is also 'taller'.

If anyone here has the Frontrunner kit and can comment, I would greatly appreciate it!

Just to add the frontrunner drawer doesn't use the full length of the back. It is a few inches shorter. It is why I went with the travall one. Shipping plus cost of the unit is about the same as the frontrunner one.

 

I was quoted $800+ to ship the activity drawer to California via FedEx Intl. Economy.... so all in, over $2k USD for the Travall set up (which I prefer).

Frontrunner is $1400 + tax but I'm sure there will be a promo at some point to lower the cost 15% +/-

 

Hello everyone I meet a guy named Chad love he lives in Miami, Fl. And he makes them for the defender. I am having one made now custom to my needs. Here is a few pictures I took of his work. Now it’s the drawer system only the top cabinets he did not make as the owner wanted to keep them.

 

I seen the sprinter build and it was incredible.

 

Hector, do you have any contact info or a link to the fabricators web site? The drawer (above) is BEEFY... it looks great.

 

Drawersystems.com is his website. I have seen them in person and the workmanship is outstanding. When I was there, he was finishing a sprinter van and I’ll tell you what it look like he was factory made that good. I have his phone number but I don’t know if I can give it out so I called them and when he replies, I’ll let you know. But go to the website for now.

I'm looking for a two drawer system with the outlets/usb ports on the right wing, similar to this but with lockable drawers (the model pictured below has the left drawer dedicated to a fridge):



The drawer system is made of wood (birch?), and then Rhino coated several times. The top of the drawer system is roughly 12" from the cargo floor.

Travall UK's draw kit is molded ABS plastic and Frontrunner's uses steel for the drawer bins, the front covers, and the frame. I believe I was told $1200 + $250 shipping to California.

Seems like a solid option!
