At least they're being proactive 👍

Both my LRs (RR and Defender) are gas guzzler V8s so I'm immune lol

After reading about this hybrid issue I'll be moving on to a V8 in my next (2027) Defender. Maybe gas prices will come back down by then.

All L460 & L461 V8s are MHEVs. But I think I read the BMW V8 MHEVs use a different DC-DC converter if I'm not mistaken.

These new vehicles are extremely power hungry. My suggestion is to keep your 12 v battery checked and charged to minimize the strain on the DCDC converter. Heated and ventilated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, heated windshield and defrost, stereo amps and subs, all the computers in the car, telematics etc...all use power.

Probably explains why Defender batteries only last 2 years. My battery won't start the vehicle, but still passed some stupid JLR charge threshold test so I got stuck paying for the new battery despite being in the warranty period. The closest LR dealer to me sucks since being bought by Group 1 Automotive. The previous private owner had much better goodwill toward his customers, especially repeat buyers.
