Recommended Hitch Extenders for a bike rack
Hi. I need and request this forum’s expertise. I have a 2024 Defender 90 and want to mount my Thule 912/914 Roadway bike rack. I need to purchase a hitch extender to clear the rear spare tire. Thule are currently out of stock of their hitch extender. I ask for recommended alternatives. I’ve come across Yakima Singleshot extenders, Curt hitch extenders and even a private label brand from Princess Auto (here in Canada). Appreciate the recommendations. Thanks in advance.
A little decadent, but I loved having this on my '22 110... otherwise, felt like I'd be trying to step over and work around a contraption when trying to access the boot.

Lots of options online. It's a pretty basic piece of kit and for a bike rack it's not taking much strain. U-Haul has lots of hitch accessories
If you want the Thule one have you tried looking online from dealers/retailers
Eg backcountry claims to have a Thule hitch extended in stock.

I'm using the RockyMounts 8" Hitch Extension LS on my 2021 Defender 90 with the new 1UP Super Duty bike rack and it clears my tire without any muss of fuss. It's been rock solid and wobble free so far and I frequently drive off road with my bike mounted on the rack. RockyMounts states that their hitch is compatible with Thule, Yakima, and Kuat racks so that should give you peace of mind.
For what it's worth, I opted for the RockyMounts hitch extension since it has a 350lb max load capacity compared to 250lbs max load capacity on the Thule and Kuat hitch extensions.
Etrailer.com (https://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Adapt....html?feed=npn) sells the RockyMounts 8" Hitch Extension LS for $99.95 with free shipping which is a better deal than ordering it through RockyMounts since they charge for shipping.

I went with the previous version of this from 1UP: https://1up-usa.com/product/rakattach
This allows you to swing the entire bike rack out of the way to access the rear door. What's great about the new version is that it's reversible so you can mount it to swing either way.
We also use it for a hitch mounted cargo tray when we drive onto the beach. This way we can access the rear cargo area to load the wet and sand covered Yellow Lab.

Thanks all for the recommendations/guidance. I checked out the options all of you provided. On-line ordering from Canada was problematic or relatively expensive. Ended up going to a local rack attack and bought, after test fitting, a yakima straightshot hitch extension. It provided the minimal clearance to open rear door 3/4 of the way and the thule bike rack does fit. Appreciate the recommendations.
