To be fully legit you'd also have to modify the logo from "Solihull Warwickshire, England" to "Nitra, Slovakia", which doesn't quite have the same cachet.
Ha! You're right! I'll produce a Nitra version and post it!
To that point... I've wondered if Defenders leave Nitra complete and ready to ship to various ports? Or do they pass through Solihull for "finishing touches"? That wouldn't make much since, but just wondered?

In tracking my car as it makes its way across the Atlantic, I did find it interesting that apparently it was loaded up in Southhampton, which would mean they are transported from Nitra to the UK (assume that by rail) and then shipped. Wonder if they do anything to them in the UK or if it’s just a pass-through.
Instead of messing with the decals that I posted above, had an old school D110 Badge engraved with the last 6 of my new Defender's VIN (leading zero omitted). Popped some rivets into the holes and filed off the backs, stuck it on over the existing Land Rover badge temporarily on for photo.
Honest opinions please!
Powerful UK rear recovery hook kit and mudflaps recent DIY projects!
So forgive my ignorance, new to LRs, but did all ROW Defender 110s come with that badge, and with part of their Serial Number stamped in the blank, like you did?
I’m very familiar with the 1993 NAS “X of 500” badges, as I have two of the 500 in my neighborhood, within 500 feet of my house right now in Atlanta. I thought that was pretty extraordinary. But I’m wondering about non-North-American models that aren’t limited in number.
Yes, I've seen those limited editions show "Number X/number produced", but also the last 6 digits of the VIN simply printed on the badge. Not sure of the pure history of when and how the badges progressed, but they're definitely classics! My decision (and this is not meant to stir an endless debate that no-one will win) is this "modern" D100 worthy of such a badge or does it need to stay simple and modern? Does it look a bit tacky? Or add a touch of old school class?
