Mine is sitting on the shelf while I finish building my garage expansion before the winter rain settles in.

I got the kit from Hunter's Prestige - I'm sure they're about the same. It makes a HUGE difference. Why the hell did LR leave a little space there and not put a backup light in, from the factory?

Cheers mate. It really makes things a lot easier/safer reversing at night in dark areas. Not sure why I waited so long. Hopefully the new molle plate will arrive Monday. Always fun in the quiet garage doing these little mods.

Thanks for the post. I just ordered a set of all-white. The factory reverse lights definitely leave a lot to be desired....

Yes the OEM are more just reverse indicators. I think there are regulations in UK limiting number of reverse lights to two. I could be wrong there.

Once LR included them in the rear light module they couldn't add any more. Probably makes good sense from a design/cost perspective having all the rear lights in a single part. I don't know. Now that the days are short and the nights are dark they've been very useful.

So the pig tail adapter has 4 wires and the new lights have 2 wires. Anyone know off the top of there heads what wires go to what? Wiring diagram maybe? I have also seen reverse lights with a red ring that incorporates brake and blinker lights ( bright red or dim red ring) different wiring diagram for those i would imagine. Maybe all the different light vendors use different color wires in the adapter harness so maybe it could always be different.

Black and Green. Snip the others.

The other type, either solid white or with the red ring are from eBay/Alibaba or LK8 or HuntersPrestige if you like paying middlemen.

those are plug and play. No wiring at all. About 2.5 times the price of these ones. They look a little sleeker though.
