Default Ride quality of off road tires

Has anybody compared the ride quality (on highway) of the off road tires to the ones of the regular road tires?
Are off-road tires bouncier and softer than the normal road tires (20"rims) ?

I have 20" rims with the Off Road Tires (Goodrich Wrangler All-Terrains). I haven't compared them to the on-road in a sound comparison, but they are QUIET. Turn on the Meridian and you hardly notice them. I want to put together another wheelset with the Goodrich Wrangler Duratecs on 18" (waiting on the calipers) and am SURE I will hear those.

I just picked mine up today and I’d agree surprisingly quiet. I’ll say they a bit numb and slightly too easy too light on the highway but I’m unfairly comparing to my cayenne s with dws continentals and other cars. I was able to keep up surprisingly well with an old wrx on some back roads on my shakedown drive tho!

The Adventures are almost indistinguishable from road all seasons. Maybe a slight bit mire noise, but nothing you really notice, and they handle just fine, surprisingly well actually. You don’t really give up much in on road performance while gaining a decent amount of off road capability.

Agree with the above, they are just as quiet as any all season tire. The tread pattern isn't that aggressive.

On another note, I suspect the Wranglers are quiet because they are soft. After 5K miles I can see they are already worn down compared to the tread depth on the spare. Probably lucky to get 25K miles out of them.

Do Off road tires wear faster than normal road tires do assuming that thee truck is driven primarily on normal roads?
