Default Right Speaker only working

Hey all, just started using wireless CarPlay today and it’s been awesome. However, I just took a call over the speakers and I only heard audio from the right side speakers. Tried toggling the sound controls and didn’t hear anything from the left drivers side. Tried different input sources like FM radio. Tried resetting phone. Tried resetting the Pivi system by holding the power button for 30 seconds. Turned the car on and off. Still same issue. Anyone experience this??

I've been able to fix that by resetting the Pivi system as you mentioned above. Maybe try a Pivi reset one more time.

Next would be a vehicle reset. Take a 10mm wrench and disconnect the negative terminal on the battery under the passenger seat. Wait 10 minutes, reconnect and see what happens.

I had an issue on my 2020 X one time where I could only get sound from the rear speakers. Pivi reset fixed it (as above) and has not reoccured once since. Just a glitch perhaps... ?

Hadn’t started up my car again until this morning when I went to work. Fortunately both speakers work again! Will try to troubleshoot it by these resets if it happens again. Hopefully not!

Default Easy fix

This occurred to me on my 2023 90 while driving from Florida to Connecticut. Screen was not behaving, phone connection lost, only one speaker working. Called dealer and they said to park the car, get out, let sit for 30 minutes and it should reset itself. It did and all was good. I've since learned: 1) you can hold the radio power button down (upper right of the center dash control panel) for about two minutes and it will force a reset. 2) more than like occurred because I was getting an over the air update and then pulled off to get fuel and messed up the update / didn't install correctly. There is no way to tell you are getting the update so not sure how to avoid going forward.

Oddly I had a different issue but it makes me think it could be related. The other day driving my '23 P300 110S I was weirded out that my blinker click was coming from the back rear of the vehicle instead of the front drivers area. I surmised that the car uses the front drivers speaker to send the blinker noise and got confused, eventually after sitting for 30min the blinker noise moved back up front. So here I wonder if it just got stuck with the whole sound system in the "blinker speaker" and a Pivi reset knocked it out. Just a thought!

Angry Recurring Speakers Issue on my 2023 P300

I have been repeatidly experiencing this same problem since the last update. It happens with a probability of 10 to 15% of the times I start my car. Only one part of the speakers is activated in a very random way. Sometimes only the front ones, sometimes the back ones, sometimes the right ones, etc.
This is honestly driving me crazy.
The Pivi Pro reset (holding the voume button for 30 seconds) doesn't fix the problem. I have to wait until the car is fully off (aprox 10 min) to have the problem fixed every time. But this doesn't prevent the problem to happen again.
Is there any other way to make a full reset? I reached out to my local dealer but he couldn't do much.
I have a 2023 4-door P300 with Meridian Soundsystem.
Thank you in advance!

I have had this a few times as well. Not only do speakers stop working the fade/balance controls invert and the sub control disappears. I get all 3 every time. Resetting Pivi and locking doors works every time. Fortunately only has happed 2-3 times in 7 months.

I too had this exact thing happen and reseting the Pivi corrected it and so far hasn't happened again.

I have about 3,000 miles on my 2023 P300 S 4 door, and experienced this problem right away. The reset method worked but it still came back every 10 or so startups. I have to say since I installed the latest software update maybe 3 weeks back it has only done it once. The cure has been the PIVI reset: vehicle on but parked, hold down on/volume button until screen goes dark ( a good 30+ seconds) and when it comes back up, no problem.
