Default Rock chip repair?

I've searched and didnt see anything about repairing smaller rock chips - as far as when I called a local shop they said they may not be able to do it on the defender due to the window on land rover's tending to be so thin.

It's super small with no extended cracks - has anyone else just repaired a chip or should I expect it to not be able to be repaired?

Thanks Charly - he was concerned it might be too thin since the range rovers are too thing.

Worst case scenario I have it replaced - happy to live in Florida where its free(1 a year) - but obviously would much prefer to use that perk only in a situation when its a bigger crack

I had a chip for a while that the dealer wouldn't repair and I didn't really care about it. The second temps started to drop it cracked and became huge.... second windshield here I come. Insurance is gonna love me soon.

I had a rock chip repaired a few weeks after replacing my windshield a little over a year ago. It was tiny but after the replacement I didn't want the hassle of another replacement so got it taken care of lickety-split.

Safelite did the replacement and the repair $50 and $0 deductible respectively.

I have used those in the past, and the for addional cost $80, it uses a high tech device and basically the chip is invisible. But yes, this is a great option - just wanted it done nicer than I've been able to do them in the past with my DIY (I probably do them halfway wrong they work but I still somewhat see the crack)

just an update incase anyone searches this in the future. They were concerned with the window thinness, but it came out great and pretty much invisible now.
