Looks like mine is your little brother!

Mine is Tasman/White Roof/90 P300.....and on the fence about steelies vs alloys. I need to see yours when you get it!
My family is pushing me toward Alloys but I had always been thinking of the steelies for the full 'modern retro' experience.....canvas roof, too.

My plan is like yours - Modern Retro - Will be adding BFG K02 (white lettered of course ) as soon as I have it. I went with a glass roof. I'll let you know when it's finally here!

If I had the option to get it for my 130, I would, it’s pretty cool. However, my sales guy did say he had some early defender owners with it and they’ve been in the shop for a few reasons; mostly from wear and tear/fading if I remember correctly.

I didn’t go with the canvas for one reason: I like to let light into the cabin when it’s too cold to open the roof. With the glass roof I open the cover everytime I get in, with the fabric I’d have to leave it closed December-February MINIMUM. Only other downside I can see besides potential for water is the noise. Not sure if the noise would’ve been a deal breaker for me or not but not being able to always let light in was an immediate decision maker.

I have the canvas roof in my Wrangler... and LOVE it... Yet didn't consider it for the Defender, which does WAY more highway driving....

Here's them side by side on the beach...

Why get a soft top? I can understand with a Jeep where you can convert it to a hardtop anytime anywhere. The convenience of a glass roof and open air when you need it is immense.

This was my concern exactly. I specified a light headliner to keep it light even with the fabric roof closed. That worked out great. The fabric roof is not going make your Defender feel like wide open like a Wrangler, but it is nicer than a sunroof in my experience.

That was my inclination.....I like that it just feels 'cooler' and more 'casual'.....the glass roof seems a bit more car like and less truck/fun vehicle-like. But I am also telling myself that I may be trying too hard to make this feel 'retro Defender'. My current spec (subject to change) is Tasmin, White Roof, Steelies, Canvas Roof...but the alternate is to go Silicon Silver, Black Roof, Dark wheels, Glass Roof.

I am waiting @MattF 's Tasmin/White/Steelie 110 that he is hoping to get later this month.
