Can anyone with some roof pod lights comment on wind noise? I'm thinking of purchasing the vulkan v3 pod light but want to make sure the wind noise isn't crazy with them.

 

I purchased that light pod and ended up tearing it off because of the rattles and wind noise. I now have the Lucky 8 light bar with Baja Designs LP9's and I love them. Still some additional wind noise, but not as much.

 

Mines been on just under a year now and I’ve had no issues. I thought that when I removed the Explorer roof rack it would highlight the issue but the soundproofing in the vehicle is so good, although there’s obviously some noise, it’s not a huge amount.
The only time I’ve experienced excessive noise, is when I removed the cover some time after fitting and didn’t replace the foam strips around the edge…..then it rattled and Ali soon realised what I’d done! 😖🤦‍♂️

 

wind noise is so subjective. i had a front runner rack and the noise was definitely there and annoying. added a full wind fairing and it did get better but in no way did it not make more noise.

i have been eyeing the roof lights but sure the added wind noise would be more than i would like

 

What did you decide? I am looking to the same and curious on your experience if you installed it.

 

Haven't installed it yet. Waiting for it to get warmer out.
