Default Screen size

Finally saw a defender with the larger screen. Ugh. Its larger for sure, but it looks slapped on like a lot of others these days. The smaller screen actually really looks better from a fit standpoint. It looks like it belongs.

This whole design argument just makes people feel better about not getting it in their build. After owning the larger screen, I wouldn't even think about getting the smaller one.

good news about the screen sizes is that they both work- the small one fits perfectly, and the large one had a subtle curve to it. I think they nailed both designs...

I agree with the notion that the smaller screen is a cleaner design and that the bigger screen is just better utility. I have the smaller screen, because I have a 2020. I'd rather have the larger screen, but I don't think the upgrade would materially change how I feel about the truck -- certainly wouldn't look to trade up simply for this since the underlying functionality is all the same. If folks happen to be picking from inventory, I would for sure prioritize other features as deciding characteristics (e.g., color, wheels, Terrain Response 2, Air Suspension, etc.,) ahead of the screen size.

I was under the impression that the 11.4" screen is not currently available. My MY 2023 110S order sheet shows a 10 inch screen.

If that's the case, fret not! In my opinion, you will much happier having a Defender than holding out for this option...

Yeah, I don't think the larger screen is available. I should be receiving my 23 D90S in a couple weeks, and the larger screen PLUS the clear sight, is not going to be installed due to constraints. I agree that the truck is great with either, but I am just saying the smaller screen fits the interior layout better.

Hmm, interesting, I was putting together a 2023 110 base build and the 11.4 is standard on all builds for 2023. Maybe it is not available but I would think they'd modify the configurator if that's the case. One thing I noticed was the clearsight rearview mirror was available over the weekend in the configurator but now pulled from the build. Lower trims do get the analog display though. If I trade my 2022 90 then I'm going to miss that interactive display a little bit.

I was told by my dealer that Clearsight is also not currently available either.

Size matters. I was fortunate enough to get the 11.4 inch screen, which I think looks fine, and the larger size gives more screen ‘real estate’ to whatever function you are displaying, especially the Nav screen. But I wouldn’t forgo the Defender if it had the smaller screen. Clear Sight mirror is less of an issue for me. I have it, and it is a great unique feature, but I rarely use it. I wouldn’t miss it if it wasn’t installed.
