Default Seats

I’m trying to finalize my build and after my wife suggested we get leather seats, I unsuggested it after noting the crazy upcharge (somewhere near $4000). So I’ll go with the leather/textile option unless someone has seen the dinamica suedecloth/textile option and thinks it’s a better leather substitute. Anyone seen it?

Thanks very much in advance.

The First Edition model has the Ebony Grained leather and Robust Woven Textile seat facings (I got the ebony interior) and I am actually pretty pleased with the seats thus far. I think it is unique to have this combination.

I order mine with the leather/textile mix. Suedecloth looks great but is a pain to clean. I also had a car with tan leather, loved the look but you need to clean it weekly to keep the look. my opinion is stick with black unless you are a clean freak.

I have the windsor leather seats - didn't really care about the leather, but the seat / mirror memory is a game changer when you share a car, and AFAIK there was no way to spec that feature without the seat upgrade.

I wonder where ADVAW8S is located? I did not see the Suede cloth offered on the S model here in the U.S.

I went with the "Acorn grained leather & Robust woven seat facings w/ lunar interior" Interesting names !

I agree black is good generally, but too hot for the Southern U.S. My wife was not a fan of the green, and I was not a fan of paying for windsor leather.

TrioRowner, I am in Seattle. Your comment about not finding the Suede cloth is very interesting. I have the original build form that was submitted to LR. I started with the S model and the P300. When I was building the base I could choose all four options, Fabric, Leather with Fabric(i choose this one), Full leather, and suede. I just checked out the website and you can still do it. You have scroll all the way to the bottom.

Yes, ok, I see it now. Thank you. Did not see it back at the end of 2019 when I ordered -- maybe it was there or not? In any case, it is a funky looking. 1960ish suede ish fabric.

Looking forward to seeing it in person, one day (?) But am not sure I would take that fabric off-road into the red clay, slippery mud I am used to falling into at home .........
