Default Service Question -- Owners Manual Error??

Hi All,

I have a high mileage 2020 Defender with the MHEV 3.0L 6 cylinder gas engine. The vehicle is supposed to be serviced every 21,000 miles/2 years (which ever comes first). I brought my vehicle in for its 63,000 mile service this weekend. On my Owners Manual (see attachment) it states "Replace MHEV battery housing filter" at 63,000 miles. However, at the Land Rover Service Dept., the service technician states that none of the diagrams in the service computer or parts computer show a battery housing filter. The service technician thinks there is an error in my Owners Manual. Do any of you know if there is a MHEV battery housing filter in these vehicles, or is there an error in the Owners Manual (and such a filter doesn't exist)? Thank you in advance if you can shed some light on this.

Oh wow, that's ridiculous.

I thought there was one also based on the service / maintenance schedule. I wouldn't say their answer is good enough.

Have the dealer talk to LR thru their technical support channels. It seems like there's a lovely gap in their knowledge.

@Tucker Woods were you ever able to track down if this is a thing that needs to be replaced? Getting the same questions from my Land Rover Independent shop.

Also, did you end up replacing flexible brake hoses? Shop is saying it's overkill and $$$ to do. thanks

I found an MHEV 2020+ filter # LR115526. But it shows for Discovery P400 -- and other cars, not L663.

I guess it is under the rear cargo floor down there by the MHEV components. Anyone actually had this changed on a P400 at the 6 year / 63k service -- and see the part # on their service receipt?

It's not listed as a service item in the manual. This part number is listed as not fitting the L663. I looked at this some time back but could never find a part number to replace. I wonder if there is a replaceable filter on the Defender battery at all.
