Gorgeous Defender! Congratulations. I second "Mint Mojito" and if you're taking votes, I'd also support removing the running boards. They are unnecessary frippery on a Defender IMHO.

Thank you , yes I do want to remove the running boards, will probably just sell them. I was actually going to put it in off-road mode in my driveway, and get underneath there until another forum Member mentioned that the air suspension can actually lower on its own, without notice! So I’m not sure how safe it is to get under it myself without jackstands?

It won't lower on its own. At least mine never has in almost 2 years. Is it possible? Nothing is zero risk I suppose.

But let's assume it will and indeed does lower while you're under there.

It's slow and would result in inconvenience. Not a squashing related death.

No risk really. If you're really concerned, shove the spare wheel under there before you slide under. Or place the OEM jack on one of the jacking points passively. If it does lower it will be gently supported there.

No idea on a name. I think naming a car is a bit like naming ones farts.

My wife named her Acadia Felicia and my daughter named her old Passat Jayla. A buddy named his work van The Love Pig.
