Default Software version 3.01 with Alexa rolling out

Haven't got it on mine yet, but 3.01 is deploying and it includes Amazon Alexa voice control.

What's so bad about it? Do you need to push the voice control button before saying "hey alexa"?

You dont have to remove it unless you have accepted it as your Operating software.

Got it in mine now. Works well. Once it's connected, there a new Alexa menu in settings and a new Alexa app in the main app view.

You can set it to respond to a voice request and/or a button press. It uses the diamond button, long or short press, plus you get a new Alexa shortcut on your main display. You can also enable/disable in the settings.

I set it up and was -- skeptical -- but I love it. It added a persistent voice activation button top left of pivi pro screen (and allowed me to select between "Hey Land Rover" and Alexa - I chose Alexa).

Played around with it for a few minutes, it's kind of a neat integration.

(Although like others, I received an email this morning, the app appeared below the fold on my app screen on the Pivi screen, but my update/version still says 3.0.0 in December)

My software version still shows 3.0, elsewhere I've seen reports that this was 3.0.1. I've had no-intervention updates before where the software version number didn't update until a day or two after it said it was installed. So it's possible it may show a different version number in a day or two.
