Something to be aware of/Check
I have been trying to chase down a very annoying issue with multiple dealers for a few months with my car (22 110 base). When driving randomly I would get alerts through the dash that the traction control, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control were no longer available with traction control light and check engine light showing. The car would also not go above 86 mph or let me use any off road terrain modes. Over a 5k road trip this was constantly happening. Sometimes I could reset the car and the alerts would go away and sometimes id just keep driving and they would turn back off.
After much speculation and diagnosis the dealer showed me that the module causing issues was missing a clip at its connection in the front left of the engine bay when looking at the car. Every other module had a clip securing the connection except this one and it was shaking loose as I was off-roading etc. They said it most likely happened at the port when the car was getting hooked up and prepped.
So, figured id let people know in case they want to proactively check this or start seeing the same issues. Took 5 LR visits to figure it out so pretty painful and hoping to help others avoid it.

That’s good intel, but total unsearchable by the only people who need it: people who might have this problem in the future. If you can edit the thread title please do so to include as many search terms as you can think of. Otherwise no one who’s actually having the problem will ever benefit from what you’ve learned.

Better but the problem is a searcher doesn’t know the issue is a missing clip. It needs to be titled with the intermittent symptoms inater had.

Ok here is a little more detail with some photos. I don't feel comfortable opening the panel where the connections are made since the dealer told me they had put a foam piece in there to press down on the connector to hopefully help until a clip can arrive. Don't want to tweak it somehow or give them any reason to think someone else has been in there messing with it.
But from my photos you can see that the box where the connections are made are in the front left. You just have to remove some twist off bolts and a plastic cover and then you can see the box lid. When the dealer showed me the connector it was just under that lid there. I'd guess it would take anyone less than 5 minutes to pop these pieces off and double check.
I did a quick check to try and edit the title of this post but could only figure out how to edit posts and not the title. I will dig more later but if someone that knows how could kindly tell me that would be great.
Sorry again for the lack of info and please lmk if you have anymore questions. When I do take it back to the dealer for the fix I will def get a better picture of the connection and add it here.
