The really interesting covers are made in South Africa by Melvill & Moon......in black or sand colors with Safari and Lions
I will have my Sand color cover next month......

I have never owned a vehicle with an exposed spare tire, other than an old series LR with it on the hood, I recall. (I am not a jeep guy).

Other than prettiness, is there a use to the cover? Trying to learn .....

Prettiness/look is the most common reason, for us here in Arizona, the sun can do a lot of damage and deteriorate the rubber so it would protect it from the sun. Of course one could replace the spare at the same time replacing the 4 running tires and be ok.

You just give them the tire size and they make it to fit perfectly.......People stop and ask me where I got all the time....
