Default Spare Tire Delete Option

Really like how this turned out. I moved my spare to the roof rack some time ago to get better access to the load space while hitched. But now, I've something to use to mount other "stuff" and while I usually focus on form, not looks - I think this looks pretty good. Thanks Saltek.

Fabulous! I'm embarrassed to have read your handle after posting... the angle of the photo suggested a low garage clearance. I'm an ex-Syncro owner twice over. Current 82.5 Westy.

An anti theft trick - I have to prop the door open with a 2x4 and drop the tire pressure down to 20 psi to squeeze it in.

You mention squeezing it in the garage, I assume due to clearance issues. Previous posters have had difficulty getting their Defenders in their garage sometimes due to the shark fin antenna on the rear of the roof and comments and solutions were discussed. I can’t quite tell from your picture but it’s possible your garage door limit stop could be adjusted to get the door a few inches higher. Just a suggestion worth looking into.

I’ve been running the spare on the LR3 roof for years it looks fantastic and totally OAF. It is however terrible having to get that thing up and down from there as the bigger tires are heavy as heck. I love the Disco 1/2 Defender and Defender 2 with the tire in the proper spot.

‘’Does look good remember to check and replace that ratchet strap regularly they can degrade quick in the sun

I have not looked at this option in detail from Front Runner. However, it may be a viable solution, or provide ideas, that don't require ratchet straps and avoid UV degradation issues?
