Spare wheel cover for Eiger Gray?
Hi all,
What are you all doing for a spare wheel cover that needs to match the color of your Defender? Mine's Eiger Gray. I've heard it's a good idea to protect the 5th wheel from the elements. Seems like there's an official one, part number VPLEW0143 but it's a silver color. I love the one in the attached pic, but can't figure out if this is something that needs to be custom painted. Any thoughts?

You can get an OEM one (visit West Palm Beach Land Rover for the easiest Parts Search). You can get one aftermarket and have it painted. Or, you can go eBay, Alibamazon and get a knock off. Everything in life is a compromise so you'll have to do the one that works for you (cost, perceived quality, actual quality, intended use, etc). There are also aftermarket types. I went more with an "overlander" style with a large zipper. Great for keeping the trash bags out of the truck or other "crap" I don't want inside. There's also a nice black or tan one from a company in South Africa (someone will remind me of the name) that looks cool, but takes a while/expensive. More compromise! Good luck with your choice.

I've got an Eiger grey cover in my attic that I put on for a month, then decided I didn't like the look of it. DM me if you want it !
It looks Genuine (but is not) and is from a British company... Vulkan (bought it in 2021 or so).
The upside:
-- It's free for anyone if you pay shipping. I think I paid 350 for it.
-- It's basically new in the box (somewhat of a large box but lightweight).
The downsides:
-It doesn't have a drain hole in the bottom (a grommet), I emailed them about it and they said they'd send me a new one, I never did so.
-I questioned the paint match because to me it looked like a slightly different Eiger shade than my car. That said the paint is well done, it just appeared to me a bit darker than my car.
-It doesn't fit bigger tires (I have 33's now on mine)
