Default SSM - Glass sunroof panel not operating

Posting this Special Service Message as it's a procedure you can follow without dropping off the car at the dealer. I know my sunroof is sometimes affected and won't operate when I try to open it. I figured out that, by fully closing and reopening the sun blind, the sunroof starts working again, but may follow the attached procedure the next time the sunroof dies, to see if the issue goes away permanently.

The instructions you added worked to make my sunroof again function properly.

Enjoy!

My motor had to be replaced. I had this problem over the first year. Then finally it just stopped working all together and they just replaced it along with

1. Replacing my wireless charger - It works now regardless of iphone
2. New fix for he A pillar rattle - so far 10 mile interstate ride home and NO NOISE for the first time in 22k miles and over 1 year
3. Auto high beam turning off - fixed

4.Sun roof fixed

5. AND poor key fob fixed - installed the extra wire.

WOW FINAL the auto i wanted!!!

Default P400 sunroof

I have a P400 and have done only 10,000 kilometres and have had to replace the windscreen twice, however when doing so I noticed that the sunroof glass is cracked and the crack is spreading. There are no sunrooves available ex stock, and now I am worried about it shattering either whilst driving, or on a very hot day?

I have a rack and the sun roof is totally not a value to me. Really wish I could have gotten a "Delete" option on it. If so, I would.

That sounds dangerous as hell. I wouldn't want to be driving and have that bust down. Might not cut you but has to be heavy.

Don't worry - it's tempered, so it will just rain down thousands of tiny pieces that will be impossible to ever fully clean out without disassembling the interior. Totally fine.

If it has a tint or other plastic layer on it, it would come down as a whole broken sheet that won't be light sitting on top of your head while you're trying to drive.

No idea if it does and I would think that it wouldn't for that reason.
