Default FastPass transponder mount location

I’d prefer not to mount on windshield and seem to recall that it’s doable on the sunroof.
does it matter where on the glass?
any issue with the transponder catching when opening the sunroof? Hate for it to pop loose in the track.
any issue with it catching on the sunscreen?

In the manual, they state that the transponder should be mounted at top of your windshield next to the rearview mirror. I use a FastPass here in WA and I don't notice the pass at all near the rearview mirror. It works perfectly.

Yes- I checked the manual as well and it shows an “opening” of the heating elements for the transponder to be placed. However, the replacement glass I have (oem) does not have that opening.

Ours is on the fixed portion of the sunroof glass, behind the section that opens/moves. Works perfectly.

I do the moveable portion of the sunroof, it wouldn't work at the designated area on the windshield unfortunately.

Same. My dealer did this for me and from the driver's side at least I do not notice the transponder at all.

I guess I should have detailed on my first response that we tried that spot first and it didn't work on our PA issued EZpass.

Not sure if it was the fault of the Pass or the heated windshield?!?

Same issue, no matter where I put it on the windshield (heated), it didn't work. I ended up going with the license plate mounted fastpass. That had been working perfect until last week, but that may just be a fastpass issue, not the location.
